Schwanza Pork Feast

After having been invented by Nancy Pilosi just days ago, Schwanzaa has become an instant classic holiday tradition. Every holiday comes with its own unique ritualistic meal, and Schwanzaa is no exception. With the simultaneous passing of the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill (aka the BOHICA bill), it only seemed appropriate to celebrate Schwanzaa with a pork feast.

Senator Mitch McConnel (R-Kentucky) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) co-hosted the first annual Schwanzaa Pork Feast. McConnel raised a ham hock, and Pelosi a pork knuckle, in a toast. “We have much to celebrate,” The senator said. “BOHICA America! you have no idea what’s coming.”

“BOHICA,” Speaker Pelosi repeated which was followed by a boisterous “BOHICA!” cheer from the exuberant congressional attendees. With “BOHICA” becoming the official Schwanzaa greeting, there were other symbols to mark the occasion. Behind the hosts was a burning platform festooned with a crabapple tree draped in bacon with a gilded Uranus impaled on the topmost branch
