A new hashtag campaign, #6gSF, is trending on twitter. Posts with the #6gSF hashtag feature military aircraft taken by Sixth Grade Science Fair high-altitude balloons. Most of the photos are of low quality since they’ve been taken with budget components such as the Rasberry Pi.
Hundreds of sixth grade science students across the country are eager to see what photos they can capture. But the Secretary of Defence, Lloyd Austin, isn’t so happy. “While it’s OK for children to spy on their parents and turn them in for questionable activities, It’s not OK for them to spy on the government.”
Despite disapproval from the DOD, #6gSF continues to be a thing and is likely to turn up some interesting data.
