Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice seemed to be the rallying cry of Chicago voters Tuesday as they cast out mayor Lori Lightfoot. Lightfoot garnered only 17% of the vote, a humiliating loss to say the least. The fact that it’s been over 40 years since a sitting Chicago mayor lost a reelection says much about Lightfoots popularity. While Lightfoot claimed in a concession speech that she stands with her “head held high”, it pales in comparison to how high the crime rate is soaring in Chicago.
Good riddance Mayor Lightfoot. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
