A second high altitude spy balloon was detected Friday this time over Latin America. The Biden administration released a statement assuring that there is nothing to be worried about. White House Press Secretary Karine Jeane-Pierre stated, “while we admit that the balloons are of Chinese origin, there is nothing to be afraid of. We are expecting to see more of them flying in American airspace over the next few weeks. We now know that there are a total of 99 red balloons, but there is no need for alarm. These balloons originated in 1983 as part of a music video recorded by Nina.”
There was also a Department of Defense (DoD) press release stating that all efforts to protect American security are in place. This should make us all rest easy.
