On Tuesday, the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) went on strike, a move certain to cripple the US supply chain for weeks or even years to come. The timing couldn’t be worse for Halloween retailers whose season just got underway. 2023’s record $12b sales will now be almost impossible to beat. But Spirit Halloween, the country’s largest Halloween retailer, with over 1,500 locations, has a plan. They’ll skirt the strike by stocking their shelves with the scariest item possible, Harris-Walz campaign signs.
Spirit Halloween President and CEO stated, “put one of these signs in your yard, and if that doesn’t scare your neighbors, nothing will.”
