The Harris campaign is working feverishly to get ahead of the game in the event that Biden pulls out of the 2024 presidential race. Of their first tasks is to build an appealing platform to run on. According to sources close to Harris, the first plank will be to “replace tired American icons with less controversial emblems.” Accordingly, the “fierce looking” American eagle will be replaced by a more gentle bird, the swallow.
When Harris was asked why a swallow? She replied, “I don’t know. It just came to me.” The trouble with swallows is that they are not just a bird, but an entire family of birds. And there are about 90 species included in the family. Some members of the Harris team wanted to go with the Cream Breasted Swallow in honor of Biden’s pull-out. But Kamala is said to prefer the Throb Throated Swallow because it feels more soothing.
