The US federal prison system announced that it would no longer be building men’s correctional facilities. It isn’t because there are fewer male inmates. It’s not because of lenient sentencing. It isn’t even because extreme left leaning prosecutors aren’t punishing violent criminals. It is because men who are in jail are requesting, and being granted, relocation to women’s facilities.
There is little or no regulation on “transitioning” while incarcerated. There’s also a complete lack of definition of what a woman actually is. This makes it easy for men to declare themselves “trans-women” and demand housing at a women’s facility. The National Association of Gals (NAG) praised the bold move by the federal prison system. “This will help bring equity to all women. No longer will the field of violent crime be dominated by men. It’s about time women were allowed to participate on a level playing field here.”
