Browns season Peaked with 3rd round draft picks
Dewalt Lackey, first mascot ever selected in the NFL draft

As is the longstanding tradition, the Cleveland Browns season peaked during the NFL draft. Browns traded their first and second round draft picks for veteran QB Colin “Take-A-Knee” Kaepernick, and defensive tackle Rodney Gunter. When the third round finally came, General Manager Andrew Berry chose Dewalt Lackey as the team’s new mascot. Browns traded 2022’s top scorer, Running Back, Nick Chubb for another third round draft pick. For this pick Grayson “Fluff” Munkfeld was selected as second string mascot. Fluff will be introducing a new “re-imagined” mascot “Mr Angry Bear”

The draft went downhill from there with fourth round pick Riley Ogden, a third string QB from Crowders Creek Elementary school. They pulled a rabbit out of the hat with another fourth round pick Isiah McGuire, a Defensive Lineman from Missouri. The two fifth round picks included fringe QB Dorian Thompson-Robins from UCLA and Northwestern DB Cameron Mitchell. In the sixth round, they secured center Luke Wypler. Browns forfeited their seventh-round pick when they couldn’t decide on another player and their time ran out.
