Savvy investors prefer lead

While gold is the best hedge against inflation, today’s savvy investors prefer lead. Most investment strategies are based on relatively predictable – or at least reasonably probable – political, economic, and social outcomes. But today’s smart investors are also taking into consideration more outlandish probabilities, like the total economic collapse.

The graphic clearly shows the level of investment the average American should have in lead-based assets. A minimum investment of 10,000 rounds of ammunition is recommended for even the most skeptical investors. At the far end of the spectrum, 18,000 rounds of ammo are suggested. For the average investor, something like 14,000 rounds is considered a conservative investment.

Given the volatility of the munitions market, a good place to start is Palmetto State Armory, who offers their signature AAC ammo for as little as $0.40 per round. (Spot price quoted is for the popular 5.56mm NATO caliber) Other investment opportunities lie in AbleAmmo.com, Cabelas.com, or even better, your local gun shop. However you decide to invest, one thing is clear: savvy investors prefer lead as a part of their total investment portfolio.
